Freezer Cooking (well, kinda!)
Okay, so technically only half of this stuff ended up in the freezer. So I guess, instead of freezer cooking I should call it "make stuff ahead of time just in case I don't have time later" cooking. Uh, no, I think I'll stick to "freezer cooking".
I had a little extra time on Saturday evening and decided to prepare a few things to have around for easy fixing and eating. Here's what I prepared:
Boiled eggs - to have handy for tuna salad, chicken salad or just to top a lettuce salad
Orange slices - peeled and packaged for easy grab-n-go snack
Ground beef - browned and ready for lasagna, tacos, spaghetti, sloppy joe, etc.
Homemade Strawberry Yogurt - I had this for breakfast this morning!
Sausage patties - quick and easy to grab out of the freezer
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - I may bake these today.
Even though I didn't cook a bunch, it still feels pretty darn good to have a little bit of extra food around for those busy days of summer.

My thought is that if you don't do anything at all, you should brown and repackage your ground beef. As you point out, it's great to have it ready for so many dishes!
