Homemade Lip Balm!

This was so easy to make and works wonderfully!  I actually like it better than any "store-bought" lip balm that I've ever used.  The recipe I came up with is simple and quick.  I made the lip balm pictured above in about 2 minutes!  Just follow the instructions below to start making your very own homemade lip balm! And if you're one of those folks that can't find the time to make your own but would still prefer an "all-natural" lip balm - just order some HERE!  My favorite is the Tea Tree which is great for preventing and healinag fever blisters and cold sores.

2 1/2 tsp. some type of oil (coconut, olive, castor, jojoba, or sweet almond)

(I used half coconut oil and half sweet almond oil)

1 tsp beeswax

couple drops essential oil (I used lemon to help preserve)

Pour the oil and beeswax in glass measuring cup and heat in microwave until melted. Stir to mix.

After this cools, add essential oil.

Pour into container of your choice.

I used a container that previously had cuticle cream in it.  You can also use different types of flavoring, like vanilla or spearmint.  I'm thinking I'll try some spearmint in my next batch.

Rozier's Weekly Ad 10/5 to 10/11!

Here are some of my favorite deals from the Roziers ad for 10/5 to 10/11.  They have a page of in ad coupons that are valid from 10/5 to 10/11.  I did some price comparison and found that most of the items were cheaper at Wal-Mart.  So, since Wal-Mart honors competitor's coupons, I'll be taking the Rozier's ad to Wal-Mart to get the best deal.  Keep in mind, Roziers doesn't accept printed internet coupon, but you can always price match at Wal-Mart and use the printed coupons.

Price Match Nestle Water at Wal-Mart!



Today at our local Wal-Mart, I noticed the Nestle water 24 pk had $1/2 peelie coupons on them. This is the water that is on sale at Walgreens this week for $3.49. The water at our Walgreens didn't have the peelie coupon on them.  Luckily, I had my Walgreens ad with me so I had Wal-Mart price match and then used the peelie as well. 

I also had them price match the Dawn Dish Liquid to 99 cents. It was only $1.07 regular price at Wal-Mart, but hey, 8 cents is 8 cents!

I was going to price match the Purex that's on sale at Walgreens for $2.99, but it was only $2.97 regular price at Wal-Mart.

Of course, while I was in the store, I used my $8/1 CoverGirl coupon.  I bought some cheekers blush and some eyeliner. They were priced at $4.24 and $4.94, so after the coupon I paid just $1.18!  I noticed some eye shadow for just $3.24 - which means it would pay overage to use the $8 coupon!

Easy Pumpkin Muffins!



Two ingredients is all you need to make these yummy pumpkin muffins!  So easy!  A yellow cake mix and a can of pumpkin, that's it.  Just mix the pumpkin and the cake mix together. No oil, no water, no eggs.  Spoon the batter into cupcake papers in a muffin tin and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  I topped my muffins with some cream cheese frosting.....oh so good!  I love the simplicity of this recipe.  And the warm pumpkin aroma that filled the kitchen was an added bonus.
