Looking for an economical and safe substitute to store-bought dishwasher detergents? This recipe only has 4 ingredients and is super easy to make! And it's all-natural! Total cost is about $1.10 for 40 ounces. Only need to use 1-2 tablespoons per load, that's 3 cents per load! Another bonus is the small container, saves on shelf space as well as money. Just think, one batch will last over a month!Ingredients:
1 cup super washing soda (yellow box in picture)
1 cup Borax (white box in pic)
1/2 cup kosher salt (navy box in pic)
10 drops lemongrass essential oil
Mix washing soda, Borax, and kosher salt together. Add lemongrass drops, whisk to blend.
Use 1-2 Tbsp per load in dishwasher.
(For best results, I would recommend using apple cider vinegar as a rinse agent.)
Okay, so you're not the DIY kinda girl? No worries! Grandma Bea's will make it for you! Choose from the 16oz (30 loads) for $2.50 or the 32oz (60 loads) for $5.
